I arrived late last night and was met at the airport by Melissa (the school administrator) and a driver. Melissa tells me it is about an hour and a half drive to the hotel where I will be living. I am exhausted. I never got to sleep on the plane, and the nights in Jakarta were too short. I spent the days waiting, trying to sleep sitting up. I never got caught up. Today my body would go no further.
Melissa took me to my room, and as soon as the door was shut, I went to bed. I slept for 36 hours. Melissa checked in on me once during the day to make sure I was still alive, then left me alone. I was oblivious to everything.
But by Friday morning, I was back to normal and ready to go.
